I am writing you on the day that I had originally planned to be flying to Portugal for language school – the first step in getting to Angola. I have had to move that date to the third week of February due to not having reached my funding goal yet. While it is a little bit sad, it is also greatly motivating to work harder to be able to move forward. I have peace because I know that God’s timing is perfect, and he will provide the funds at just the right time.
Funding: I still need to raise at least $10,000 a year to be able to leave for Angola. This breaks down to $833 a month, 9 people who can commit to $100 a month while I am in Angola, 18 people who can commit to $50 a month, or any combination/ variation of those. As soon as I have raised this I will be ready to leave. I hope to reach this point by mid-February so that I will still have 9 months in language school before we head to Angola. Solid language skills are essential for our mission work.
I wanted to let you all know where I am at with fund-raising and why I am not leaving as early as I had initially projected.
Thank you to all of you who have contributed to my Angola Mission Fund. I so greatly appreciated it and could not go and fulfill my calling without you. If you know of others who are interested in supporting me in mission work in Angola, feel free to pass on the information or let me know and I can contact them.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask them of me at anytime. We want all transactions to be transparent and so ask that you send all contributions through my supporting congregation, Little Rock Church.
In His Love, Jordan Yarbrough
