I hope you are all doing well. Thank you for you patience while I got the blog up and running (I am learning as I go along).
I just wanted to quickly update you all on how things are progressing. Last Thursday was my last day at Arknsas Children’s Hospital as a full-time employee. I will still work occasionally until I leave, but I am no longer regularly scheduled. While I am sad about this change, I am excited because it allows me more time to focus on Angola. I am still concentrating on fund-raising at this time. God has been providing abundantly – it increases my faith to see Him provide so amazingly – but I still have a ways to go before I meet my goal to be able to leave the country. I have posted the fundraising letter and forms under the ‘Documents’ tab. If you know of people or churches who would be interested in becoming a part of the Kingdom work in Angola, feel free to pass along the information. Our team considers a part of our mission to be raising awareness of Angola, and connecting Christians there with other Christians around the world.
Please be in prayer about the Angola team’s preparation and fundraising. Our team as a whole has funds to raise before we can set out to follow our call. We know God has called us to Angola, and so we fundamentally know that He will provide. God has given me the knowing that He will provide. However, I admit that I still have occasional anxiety about everything falling into place and allowing our team to GO. Oh ye of little faith! God’s plan is so much better than mine. I know that His timing, His provision, His way is perfect and so much higher than our ways. I sincerely thank you for your prayers. I can feel them. I see what is coming together and cannot not know that people are praying for this team and for Angola.
